Bega Valley Shire libraries will participate in Library and Information Week from May 18 to 23 with a range of activities covering the internet, oral history, simultaneous story time and email.
Monday, May 19
Internet is for everyone. Improve your online skills at Bega and Merimbula Libraries. Phone your library to book.
Library catalogue. Learn how to search the library catalogue, reserve books and renew your loans. 10am @ Bega Library.
Online databases. Learn how to use the library’s online databases to find journal articles and more! 11 am at Bega Library.
Introduction to the internet. Get started on the internet, 2pm at Bega and Merimbula Libraries.
Tuesday, May 20
Oral history is for everyone. Fiona Scott will speak about the Meals on Wheels/Theatre Onset oral history project. Llisten to some local oral histories straight from the horses’ mouth! Free at Bega Library 9.30am to 10.30am. Booking preferred.
Wednesday, May 21
Storytime is for everyone. Join the National Simultaneous Storytime and hear the story ‘Arthur’ by Amanda Graham. 10.30am to 11.30am at Eden, Merimbula and Bega Libraries. Booking preferred.
Thursday, May 22
Morning Tea is for everyone. support the Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea with a cup of tea, a slice of cake and a great read at Bega Library. Your gold coin donation will raise funds for the Cancer Council. 10am to 11am at Bega Library.
Storytime is for everyone. 10.30am to 11.30am at Bermagui Library. Booking preferred.

Email is for everyone. Sign up for an introductory session at Bega, Eden, or Bermagui Library. Learn how to set up an email account so you can contact friends and family, half-hour sessions available from 10am to noon at Bega, 11am to noon at Bermagui and Eden Libraries.
