Council Offices and Depots

The Bega Valley Shire Council offices and depots will be closed from 3pm on Thursday, December 24, 2009 until 8.30am on Monday, January 4, 2009. For emergencies phone 6499 2222.

Library and Regional Gallery

Bega Valley Shire Library users will need to stock up on their holiday reading needs because the libraries will also be closed over the Christmas-New Year break.

Bega, Merimbula and Bermagui Libraries will close at 3pm Thursday, December 24, 2009 and re-open on Monday, January 4, 2010.

Eden Library will close at 3pm Thursday, December 24, 2009, and re-open on Tuesday, January 5, 2010.

The mobile library service will finish its rounds on Wednesday, December 23, and resume on Monday, January 4, on its normal roster which is available on Council's website, www.begavalley.nsw.gov.au

The Regional Gallery will be closed from Friday December 18, 6pm until January 15, 2010 with the ‘In Living Memory’ indigenous historic photographs from the State Archives and ‘The New Black’ a project investigating issues of narrative and social history in contemporary indigenous art.

Waste and recycling services

Waste and recycling depots will operate on their normal schedule over the holiday period except for Christmas day when they will all be closed.

Waste collection services will be on their normal schedule.

Children’s Services

*  Long day care and occasional care Bandara will close at 1pm on Tuesday, December 22, 2008 and re-open at 7.45 am on January 14, 2010.
*  Vacation care will be available from January 13, 2010 and after school care at Bandara will reopen at 3.15pm on January 28, 2010
*  Eden Child Care Centre will close from 1pm on Tuesday, December 22 and re-open at 7.30am on January 18, 2010.
*  Eden Pre-School has already closed and will re-open at 8.30am at January 28, 2010.
*  Sapphire Mobile Pre-school will re-open at Candelo on January 28, 2010, and at Bemboka on January 29, 2010.
