E-Waste – A Growing Problem

The Shore Regional Organisation of Councils (SROROC) has written to the SCG Chairman advising of the preparation of a number of fact sheets on e-waste and encouraging SCG to introduce a ban on e-waste being deposited at landfills. Copies of the fact sheets will be available at the SCG Meeting. The SHOROC ban prohibiting E-waste disposal to landfills is to commence on the 1/1/2010 as well as a ban prohibiting the uplifting of e-waste from kerbside collections. Add a comment

Three Hundred and Five Whales Saved by Operation Musashi

Japanese Whalers "Enraged" with Sea Shepherd

The Institute for Cetacean Research has released their 2008/2009 kill figures for their whale slaughter in the Southern Ocean. They slaughtered 679 Minke whales of their targeted 935 and they only took one endangered fin whale from their targeted 50 whales.
