Bega Valley Shire Council’s popular free annual Hazardous Waste Collection will be held during August.

The service allows residents to dispose of many items including pesticides, fungicides, batteries, oxidisers, weed killers, paints and varnishes, household cleaners, fuel, oils, sharps (syringes), poisons, solvents, acids and alkalis, pool chemicals, gas cylinders, medicines, fertilisers, smoke detectors, fluorescent globes and compact fluorescent lights. Primary pupils from Sapphire Coast Learning Community schools across the Bega Valley Shire will take on the roles of producers, directors and camera crew for a project with a difference during this school term.
