Gale Warning - Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race 2007
Possible rough weather for the Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, south of Eden

City Index Leopard skippered by Mike Slade
The AUSTRALIAN BUREAU OF METEOROLOGY has issued a HIGH SEAS WEATHER WARNING predicting gale force winds for south eastern Victorian ocean waters.
Northwest winds of 30/40 knots within about 300nm east of cold front. Very rough
seas. Heavy swell.
City Index Leopard
City Index Leopard is the third yacht Mike Slade has brought ‘down under’ to try and take line honours. Fresh from smashing the previous Rolex Fastnet Race record, Slade and his international crew, including a number of Australians, are quietly confident they can come between Wild Oats XI and an historic third line honours win. Weighing 10 tonnes more than the lighter weight 30m maxis, Slade is hoping for hard running and reaching race. There’s more at stake once the boat has finished with the infamous ‘Bashes’ cricket match due to be played amongst Slade’s crew once they arrive in Hobart.
